What other
methods for making reservations are available to customers?
At present
we prefer either personal bookings or by phone. Later, we will also accept
reservations by email once we have our internet connection set up at the
restaurant. We do not accept fax reservations.
3.
Give a
brief description of the location?
Ziveli is
located at 12202 Jasper Avenue along the main road on the West end of Jasper
Avenue in Downtown Edmonton, close to the residential area, where the apartments
and restaurants are located. It’s just outside the business and commercial
district of Downtown Edmonton.
4.
How would
you best describe the “style” of Ziveli restaurant?
Ziveli
would be best described as casual fine-dining offering international cuisine
with a strong flavour of Greek, Italian and Mediterranean fare.

What are
your hours of operation?
Mondays
– Thursdays:
11.00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m.
Fridays
& Saturdays:
11.00 a.m. to 1.00 a.m. (kitchen closes at 12 midnight)
Sundays:
11.00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m.

What types
of food do you serve?
Our menu
spans chicken, beef, lamb, pork salmon, halibut and prawn.

What
desserts do you have?
We have a
fine selection of desserts. Please ask your server for the dessert menu.
8.
Can you
meet special dietary needs of customers?
We can meet
most dietary needs. Customers are requested to inform their server prior to
ordering if you have any dietary concerns or allergies. This can also be
done when you make any advance reservations. We also serve vegetarian or
low cholesterol meals.
9.
Can you
give us an idea of your prices?
Our prices
are reasonable and are listed in our menu, as well as on the menu pages on this
website.
10.
What parking facilities are available for
customers?
Day or night there are plenty of parking spaces available both in the front and
at the back of the restaurant. The main entrance faces a secondary road
and thus street parking is also available. The adjacent grocery store also
allows our customers to use their parking space.
11.
Where is the bar located?
The bar is part of the main restaurant. A small decorated shelf separates the
bar from the restaurant.
12.
How many
people can be seated in the bar, restaurant and patio?
We have
total seating capacity for 115-150 persons. The restaurant has 14 tables
with seating for 60 - 80 customers; the sports bar has 8 tables with seating for
25 - 30 customers, plus the bar has 5 high chairs. The patio has 15 tables
with seating for 30 - 40 customers.

Does the
restaurant have a dress code?
There is no
dress code as this is a casual dining place, so clients can wear anything though
they do need to be presentable.
14.
Do you have
a banquet room?
While we do
not have a banquet room, we do cater to banquets which can be held in the
restaurant, bar or patio or all three combined.
15.
Is the
restaurant completely smoke-free?
The
restaurant is completely smoke-free, as smoking is not permitted in the
restaurant, bar or the patio, as per Edmonton regulations.
16.
Are the
restaurant and its facilities wheelchair-accessible?
All
facilities including washrooms are easily accessible as the whole place is on
the ground level — except for the patio which is elevated by one step.
17.
Do you sell
Gift Certificates?
We sell
gift certificates in Canadian $50 or $100 denominations. We accept cash or
credit card and can mail the gift certificates, if required.
18.
Do you
accept bookings for private parties?
While we
accept bookings for private parties, we don't have a separate room for such
events. Private parties will be held in one section of the restaurant. A
divider will separate the private party from the rest of the restaurant.
Alternatively, the whole restaurant can be booked for a private party.
19.
Do you
accept bookings for large groups?
We accept
bookings for large groups, such as, conferences, birthday parties or weddings.
20.
Do you
undertake outdoor catering?
We accept
orders for outdoor catering — with or without servers. If server service
is not required food will be provided in disposable containers.
21.
What about
take-out?
Take out
orders are accepted by phone or in person. We do not have delivery services, as
we do not have insurance coverage for delivery. While desserts are available
for immediate pickup, other menu items have to ordered with a waiting time of
approx. 10 - 15 minutes.
22.
Can
customers bring wine to the restaurant?
We prefer
customers to order wine at the restaurant as we have a fine selection of wine,
liqueur and alcohol. If customers bring their own wine, they will be billed for
corkage.
23.
Can
customers leave with wine?
As per
Canadian law, customers must consume wine or alcohol only in the bar, patio or
restaurant. Customers are not permitted to step out of the patio, bar or
restaurant with wine or alcohol in hand.
24.
Can flowers
be presented on a customer’s table?
Customers
may make their own arrangements for flower delivery and inform us that a flower
delivery is to be expected when making their reservations. We can
recommend a nearby florist, if requested.
25.
Do you
accept orders for a special occasion cake or dessert?
a) For
special occasions or special meal requirements not on the menu we need three
days
advance notice. For large parties, we shall require three days
advance notice even if the order is from the menu.
b)
We regret
that we do not accept special order cakes for pick-up.
c) For
special occasions, customers may phone the restaurant and place their order with
the manager or chef.
26.
How about
employment opportunities at your restaurant?
a) Applicants
may personally bring their résumé to the restaurant. Kindly be prepared to be
interviewed on the same day.
b)
Applicants can email their résumé. Our email address for job
applications will be provided after we have our internet connection set up at
the restaurant.
c)
Applicants must state the position they are applying for on their
application. Available positions are usually posted outside the restaurant.
d) Applicants
must inform the interviewer whether they are available part or full-time. The
restaurant manager will arrange work schedules.
e)
If the position has already been filled, we shall keep the résumé active
for 3 months, after which it will be deleted from our database.
